Micro Evacuators: A Dr's Perspective and Features
ASI Micro EvacuatorWhy would an Endodontist want to use a Micro Evacuator during a root canal procedure? "To evacuate the chamber of the canal," says Dr. Sasan Jafari, D.D.S. owner of North Bethesda Endodontics in Rockville, MD. "You can do so with Ultradent purple tips, no question," he says. Dr. Jafari has used the ASI Micro Evacuator since mid 2008 and is now uses one on every patient. "Purple tips suck the blood and puss right out of the tooth," Dr. Jafari explains. "My staff thoroughly cleans my Micro Evacuator after each patient with a microbrush. If your customers feel they are not getting enough velocity they need to clean the handpiece better as they build up a lot of gunk."

Top 5 features of ASI's Micro Evacuator
  • Gross debris removal and drying of the canal, minimizing the need for paper points.
  • Ergonomically designed (like a pencil) for precise pin point evacuation. Proper Micro Evacuation tubing size prevents strain on the wrist.
  • Accepts universal luer lock needles or micro suction tips via convenient "slip luer" connection.
  • Can be conveniently installed to the assistant's side instead of occupying an existing high volume evacuator with a modified micro suction tip.
  • ASI Sonic Micro Evacuator
  • Add Sonic technology to the Micro Evacuator for irrigation agitation followed by negative pressure evacuation at the apex.
ASI's Micro Evacuators have become a "must have" instrument our Endodontic customers. For more information please visit our website www.asimedical.net.

New Purge Pump Enables Plumbing in Dental Operatories
Purge Pump in Self-Contained Unit ASI's self-contained Triton™ Mobile Dental System allows dentists to economically set up a dental office without plumbing. The system now uses an electric purge pump that can be turned on to siphon the liquid from the suction holding tank and empty out though the purge hose at the end of the day's procedures. This new design can easily pull granular or sticky paste materials without plugging or coming into contact with any of the pumps inner components. The purge hose can be simply unwound and placed into a sink drain or quick connected to a sink's P-trap.
