Cancer Center

Cancer Center Waiting Area
The New Cancer Center will house a new state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator Machine for advanced radiation treatment, a CT Scanner and exam and office space. The location of the new center is key, as it is adjacent to the Department of Radiology and in close proximity to the Pathology Department, the Ear, Nose and Throat Center and the Chief of Oncology's office. This will promote a more direct line of communication amongst these key disciplines benefiting all practitioners and the overall care and treatment of our cancer patients.
 
Mercy has an evident responsibility to alleviate barriers to high-quality health care and enhance and strengthen our capacity to decrease the disparity of care and increase survival statistics within our community and the Chicagoland area.
 

With the addition of our new Cancer Center, we are increasing our capacity to serve more patients and strengthening our position to impact and improve the health of the diverse communities we serve.

 

It is with this need in mind that we ask you to help us reach beyond our achievements in 2008; and call to you for an investment in the future of Mercy and our cancer program.

Thus far the efforts of 29% of our staff have helped us raise $75,306 for the Mercy / Coleman Foundation Challenge Grant Fund. Please encourage your colleagues who have not donated to make their donation today! Donate today* and help us reach 100% Employee Participation and achieve our overall Annual Appeal goal of raising $250,000 in matching gifts to receive full grant funding.
