NEA Member Benefits Asks:
Are You Prepared for a Financial Emergency?
NEA Member Benefits states that the first rule in being prepared for a financial emergency is not to use your emergency resources except for emergencies.

This may seem a lot like common sense but ignoring this first rule is what caught a lot of people flat-footed in the financial crisis. Read our resource regarding what you can do to protect you & your family!

What is STEM Education?

STEMThe acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Our resource guides you to ideas designed to revolutionize the teaching of subject areas such as mathematics and science by incorporating technology and engineering into the core curriculum. STEM Education attempts to encourage a curriculum that is driven by problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning, and requires students to actively engage in a situation in order to find its solution.

Take a moment and share with the TeachAde community how you are incorporating STEM in your classroom.

A Fabulous Resource for High School Graduates

Transition has become the one of the hottest topics in education today. We want to share a great resource that will help your students get ready for the world after graduation. The Virginia Department of Education has created a Self-Determination Project that has a plethora of information, worksheets, resources and ideas on how to help teachers prepare students for the future.

Take a moment and check and see what Virginia's DOE has put together to help teachers, students and parents.
