The goal of this FREE project-based learning environmental competition for third-eighth grade classrooms is to teach kids about science and conservation while empowering them to make a positive impact on their communities and planet.

Register your class today and you'll be eligible for a variety of grants and prizes including a trip to Disneyland or a free iPad!

Check out the FAQ section for all the information about the Challenge and the registration process. And for ideas and inspiration join Disney's Planet Challenge Group and be sure to check out the newest DPC 'Imagine Your Planet' videos on our homepage.

Are You Participating in No Name-Calling Week 2011?

No Name-Calling Week (NNCW) 2011 is set for Jan. 24-28. This event gives you the opportunity to have real conversations with students about how to end bullying and name-calling in your school. Unfortunately, recent events across the country have highlighted the wide-spread problem of bullying.

We've created a folder in our Tips for Teachers Group with lesson plans and activities to help you plan ways to observe this important week with your students.

 Group Spotlight: 21st Century Skills

WebinarOne of the greatest advantages to social networking is joining Groups of like-minded peers to collaborate virtually. TeachAde has close to 400 Groups, most of which are open to anyone to join.

The 21st Century Skills Group, for example, explores the question: Should schools be actively teaching 21st century skills, or should they stick to a core curriculum? Come join this Group and tell us what you think.
