
July 2 through July 24th the Annual Tour de France will be held with avid bicyclists will travel over 2000 miles through France to be the first to cross the finish line in this historic race.
While they are in France testing their physical strength and condition, why not take your own tour at a leisurely pace in the Finger Lakes? There are several trails that you and your family and friends can take to immerse yourself in the Finger Lakes culture.
Wine Trails - The
Seneca Lake,
Cayuga Lake and
Keuka Lake wine trails offer a variety of wines that will please everyone from the beginner taster to the wine enthusiast. There is even an opportunity to visit the newly formed Beer Trail to taste a local brew and
Finger Lakes Distilling where you can try some liqueurs, whiskey and more!
Cuisine Trail - What goes better with wine than great food and great cheese?! When you are out visiting the Wine Trails make a stop at one of the many restaurants that use local produce and are on the
Cuisine Trail or make a stop on a local farm on the
Cheese Trail to get some cheese for a nice picnic!
Nature Trails - Of course there are PLENTY of trails that you can
walk, hike and bike! Many of the trails vary in their level of difficulty so if you are interested in learning more, check out the link above or be sure to call the local visitor center for more information. Flora, Fauna, Waterfalls - it's all an adventure waiting for you!
Art Trails - There are several artists living and working in the Finger Lakes, where they find much of their inspiration. Travel the
Finger Lakes Arts Trail where you can experiencing their story of life in the Finger Lakes. Visit studios, buy work, listen to music or even see a live performance.
