April is....
Who knew there were so many things to celebrate in the month of April. We'll honor and observe some of those celebrations in Elmira and Finger Lakes Wine Country!  National Humor Month - Tickle your funny bone and enjoy at good laugh at the Clemens Center's presentation of Monty Python's Spamalot on April 12 & 13 at 7:30 p.m. The outrageous new musical comedy lovingly ripped  off from the film classic "Monty Python and The Holy Grail." Earth Day, April 22 - Get back to the Earth with a trip to Tanglewood Nature Center. Hike the many trails, see animals and enjoy the beauty the natural world has to offer. The Center will even have special Earth Day events on Saturday April 23rd. There are also several State Parks and Forests you can visit in the Finger Lakes Region! Month of the Young Child - Enlighten, enrich and engage the children in your life! Bring them to the Corning Museum of Glass where they can visit the Innovation Center. They will learn about glass, participate in hands-on activities and so much more! Or you can visit the Rockwell Museum of Western Art. You can take the children on an art hunt, learn about cowboys or even create your own travel journal. Let's not forget to mention that both museums have free admission for kids and teens (19 and under)! |
