Come enjoy Beer & Brats on the Beargrass at the eyedia, design it again unique consignment shop located at 1631 Mellwood Avenue in the heart of the Butchertown-Clifton neighborhood. Enjoy shopping, live music, and delicious food and refreshments courtesy of the Bluegrass Brewing Company, Fischer's, and Frito Lay. Equip Students for Academic Success
Pack a backpack this summer to support our students, both children and adults, in achieving academic success. Our wish list includes: Backpacks, folders, markers, crayons, glue sticks, binders, pencils & pens, wide & college rule paper, notebooks, index cards, highlighters, pencil pouch or box, calculators, flash drives, and Kleenex. Contest Celebrating Today's Woman Magazine's 18th Year to Benefit Family Scholar House
To
celebrate their 18th year, Today's Woman magazine is holding a
design contest.
The designs must feature or represent the theme of "18". They are especially looking for items
that are visual, and could possibly be worn, such as jewelry, hats, clothing,
purse, accessories. They are also
looking for visual art, such as paintings, drawings, etc.
All
finalist pieces will be auctioned off at an event benefiting Family Scholar

Family Scholar House Celebrated New Graduates June 11th
Louisville's First Lady, Mrs. Madeline Abramson, President James Ramsey of the University of Louisville, and Dr. Anthony Newberry, President of Jefferson Community and Technical College honored five new college graduates in our program. Family Scholar House also honored the full circle success of post-program participant Temeka Higgins, J.D., 2008 graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law, as she prepares to send her daughter, Teka Jarman to the University of Virginia for the Fall semester.
