Friday Night, December 16 Hanukkah Celebration
Service and Oneg

6:30 PM Join Student Cantor Kathy Gohr for a pre-service singing event, learn some Hanukkah songs and special holiday prayers. Everyone welcome. 7:00 PM (note the service time) We will gather as a community to light menorahs for Hanukkah and enjoy the sounds of Shir Chadash, our community choir led by Student Cantor Kathy Gohr.
Our 5th, 6th and 7th grades will lead us in the blessings of the Hanukkah and Shabbat candles. Don't forget to bring your Hanukkah menorahs! Everyone is encouraged to attend this very special Hanukkah Shabbat service.
After services we will have a special celebratory oneg with latkes and special Hanukkah desserts.
We need LOTS OF LATKES!!!!

| Ner Shel Tzeddakah | |
Once again, Or Chadash is proud to support Ner Shel Tzeddakah. We encourage individuals to devote the 6th night of Hanukkah in order to raise awareness of the problems of poverty and to help those in our community who are in need. Please send a donation to OC approximating the value of the gifts that would otherwise be exchanged on the sixth night of Hanukkah. We will provide the donors with a "certificate" to use in lieu of the Hanukkah gift for that night. Proceeds will be sent this year to Jewish Family Services. In turn, JFS seeks help from volunteers as they "provide support for life's challenges, one person, one family at a time."
Whatever you give will help someone in need and make them feel a part of the community.
We hope you will click here to participate in Ner Shel Tzedakkah! Thanks in advance.
