You will find an updated calendar along with current events and photos of most events. The PHOTO page is our newest addition to the site. WEEK RE-CAP
What an action packed week we had this past week. Last Sunday's Friend Day was a great success. We had almost 400 people in attendance for the day. A special thanks to all those who helped to make it the success it really was. To Darle Parker, we thank you for assisting and organizing the Car Show and to Virgil Kimbrough for inviting so many people to come and bring their cars. We had over 20 cars in the car show and 9 motorcycles. The awards are as follows for the Car & Motorcycle Show:

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
This week, we had an awesome Vacation Bible School for our children. A special thanks to Children's Pastors, Tim & Holly Wilson and to our VBS Director, Neelie Parker for all of the planning and organization for this great event. A great big thank you to all of our VBS volunteers as well!! Many of our children from the church came out and we were able to teach them about the love of Jesus. MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN
On Wednesday June 3rd, Hallee Hoffbauer had a major surgical procedure on her heart. For several years now she has been on medication and has struggled with heart problems. Many of you will remember that we had a special prayer for her last Sunday that God would give her healing and direct the doctors. We are happy to share with you that the doctors found nothing wrong with her heart and have released her from all heart medications and have stated that she is completely healthy and has no problems. We all know how this has happened. To God be the Glory for His healing power.
PASSING OF REV. LLOYD E. MCGEE
This past Monday evening we lost a great member of our church. Brother Lloyd McGee moved into his new home in Heaven Monday evening. It appears that he was reading his Bible, getting ready to retire for the evening and stepped out of this world into a new and wonderful place. We know that he is enjoying the wealth of heaven this week but our hearts are still saddened to lose him. Brother McGee was a great member of the East Chattanooga Church of God. He attended the Crusaders Sunday School Class and was a student of God's Word. Our condolences go out to his family Brother & Sister Eugene McGee, son Eddie and daughters Kathy & Sharon. We are also praying for his special friend Joyce Smith. Joyce has been a faithful friend to Brother McGee as well as the East Chattanooga Church. We will greatly miss Brother Lloyd and his great Christian character & example.
We are also praying for Robbie Downs in the loss of her sister this week. Ruth Loftis was laid to rest Monday. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family.
CHURCH BAPTISM & MEMBERSHIP SUNDAY JUNE 7th
We are having a Water Baptism service Sunday morning at the end of the service. We are encouraging anyone who has re-dedicated their lives to the Lord or accepted Christ for the first time to participate in this event. Water Baptism is not necessarily a one time event. We do this to show that we are making a public display that we are serving the Lord. If you would like to be baptised again, we would love for you to also participate in this great time.
