Technology Corner - Bad HR Data = Bad Decisions!

When employees and managers key information into a HR data system, it is essential that the data entered is both consistent and usable.  Consistency is important so that for every single field of data entered, the result describes the exact meaning of that data in all cases.  Usable means that the information stored in that particular field can be retrieved easily and accurately  for data analysis and reporting.  This article describes the concept of Lookup Tables and  why they are important when designing any HR system.  To view the entire article, click here.
