Region 10 got good results and had an even better time at Youth Nationals! Kudos to all of the Region 10 Youth that showed, attended the youth convention and/or worked on the golf cart which was turned into a huge Boom Box in keeping with the 80's era that was assigned to Region 10. The leadership and teamwork exhibited were amazing. Special thanks to Allison Johnson, Region 10 Youth Director, and Morgan Dezenski for their leadership.

Successful Judging Team Contest was Youth Idea
The Judging Team Contest, run under the National Horse Judging Team Coaches Association judging contest rules, was held with the Wisconsin AHA (WAHA) August show. Special thanks to everyone in WAHA that helped with the contest and especially to Region 10 Youth Director Joan Rose who once again worked tirelessly in support of the Youth. Kudos to McKenna Caspers for bringing the idea to the Region 10 Board.
The contest was successful with high quality horses shown to enthusiastic and dedicated judging teams in a family setting that encouraged getting and keeping the youth involved. The teams gave reasons after the contest and the judges that listened to them were very impressed with the AHA teams. The horses used were as good as any that we have had at the U.S. Nationals contest and the classes were great for those not familiar with Arabians.
Thanks to support from AHYA and the Region 10 Youth Round-Up and the financial support of Region 10 all the teams went home with great awards. AHYA sponsored all the Overall High Point teams and individuals while the Youth Round-Up sponsored other team and individual awards. A total of $1,075 in certificates, redeemable at show vendors, were awarded to winners.
