Region 16 AHYA July Update

Hello all! As most of you know, Amanda Baldwin has assumed the position of Region 16 AHYA Vice Director and I have been given the opportunity to assume the position of Region 16 AHYA Director. We both have agreed to this change and we look forward to representing Region 16.

Congratulations to everyone who showed at the Region 16 Championship Show! Even though it reached 99 degrees, it was a great show to watch and attend. Everyone seemed to enjoy the show and the kids seemed to have fun with the arts & crafts as well as the other games. Amanda and I also put on a kickball game Wednesday afternoon, which wasn't as big a hit as we had anticipated. However, the ice cream social was very popular for both the adults and kids alike. That will definitely be something to look forward to at next year's Region 16.

As everyone knows, next year's Region 16 will be held in Springfield, Massachusetts. I will be looking for new games and activities for the youth and hopefully a fundraiser for the Horseman's Distress Fund. Your ideas are always welcome! Also check us out on Facebook at Region 16 Arabian Youth and Twitter at Region16 ArabianYouth.

Thanks!
Region 16 AHYA Director
