2012 AHYA Convention on Friday
AHYA Convention is this Friday, July 20. Are you interested in being a voting delegate for your Region? Delegates represent their Region and help with making the decisions for AHYA. As a delegate, you get to vote for the next AHYA President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. If you are at Youth Nationals and not registered as a voting delegate already, stop by the Youth Hall at 1 p.m. Get credentialed as a Delegate, grab your friends and take a commemorative photo in the photo booth and then stick around for a fun filled Youth Convention. Games, prizes and water balloons!!!

The Parade of Eras
 Don't forget that the AHYA Youth Board, in support of this year's theme, would like to challenge each region to decorate their Regional golf cart based on a specific decade or era voted on by your Regional Youth Directors at the March Meeting. Each cart will be different, each cart exciting, a journey though the eras!

Flying Pigs!
"Here Little Piggy! Here Little Piggy! Sue-eeee!" They're Back! Purchase your little piggies for a chance to throw them at a target in center ring during Youth Nationals. If you hit the target, you win the jackpot! Pigs are $2 each or three for $5. Pigs will fly on Thursday, July 28 after the dog events. You can purchase your sounder of pigs from the Youth Office or Mobile Pig Mobile at the show.

Apply for 2012 Youth of the Year
Calling all overachievers! You know who you are: the good student, the volunteer, the role model, the die-hard Arabian horse lover... All rolled into one totally fabulous package!
Apply for the honor of becoming the 2012 Youth of the Year! The winning youth will be honored at the AHYA and AHA Conventions as well as during Youth Nationals. This person may also be featured on the cover of Modern Arabian Horse magazine.
Download a nomination form today. Be sure to have your Regional Director or Director at Large sign the application before submitting it to AHA. Forms must be postmarked by September 1. Don't miss out on a great opportunity. We know you're out there!

Join us for the Arabian Horse Youth Judging Contest in Tulsa, Okla.
Friday, October 26 marks the 42nd Anniversary of the Arabian Horse Association's Youth Judging Contest. This prestigious contest will be held in conjunction with the U.S. National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show in Tulsa, Okla. Open to 4-H, FFA, AHA and Collegiate judging teams, the contests boasts some of the most talented youth equine enthusiasts throughout the US and Canada each year.
Help Youth Programs support this 42nd Anniversary milestone by sponsoring the contest, donating prizes or awards, volunteering your horse for the contest, or volunteering your time.
