Operation Santa Clause Update
 With less than one month to the June 1st target date to achieve our 5000 bar goal, we wish to say special thanks to Mountain Farm Soaps (www.mountainfarmsoap.com) for their generous donation of lovely hand made soaps. As mentioned in our last newletter, Voyageur will be matching this donation bar for bar. We thank you for your generosity!
However, we still need your help to reach the goal of 5000 bars!! Donating is simple. Drop off or mail us your labelled 4 or 5 oz bars of hand made soap by June 1st because all donations must be boxed and ready for pick up by the Canadian Armed Forces by this date so assembly of those extra special care packages can begin. This is a very worthwhile cause, and we know our soldiers will appreciate their little piece of home and the warm wishes behind each and every bar.
We thank you for your assistance in this endeavour! Let's reach our goal of 5000 bars! All donations will be acknowledged with a thank you and feature in an upcoming email so be sure to include your name or company on your labelling.

Greetings!
Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge the special women in our lives. For myself, losing my own mother seven years ago, makes me especially appreciative of the wonderful women I am blessed to share my life with. Thus I would like to take a moment to celebrate you all: friends, family, and of coarse our wonderful customers who are like an extended family to us here at Voyageur. Some of us are mothers; some of us are not. But, you are all women that we respect, admire, and are glad to count as friends. Mother's Day is but one day: an excuse to pamper, spoil, and say "thank you." However, it is also a timely reminder to give thanks, praise, and encouragement on a regular basis. And, of course, if one is female, do not forget to celebrate oneself and all one's accomplishments! In this fast paced world, it is important to take the time to step back and celebrate our small and large successes. Juggling day to day demands, children, career, dreams, and aspirations is undeniably a feat worthy of more than one day's celebration. Be proud of all you do and acknowledge the positive impact you have on so many lives. With gratitude, we extend a hearty thank you and wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day! |

Soy Massage Candle Recipe
 Massage Candles are a modern addition to the body care and massage industry. Packaged in Sleek 6 oz Deep Seamless Tins, this product's moisturizing properties are complemented by the trendy packaging. Easy to make, the low melt point of Soy Wax, coupled with its natural softness, makes it a great choice for massage. Massage Candles are sweet, indulgent treats for friends or that extra special hostess that has everything. Or, consider adding a container to your candle or soap gift baskets ... what a wonderful addition!
Basic Recipe:
This recipe will make six 6 ounce Aluminum Tins with HTP 1212 or RRD47 Wicks.
Measure out Wax and Oil and place in a double boiler (microwave not recommended). Melt on low-medium heat, stirring occasionally, until all the solids have melted. Remove from heat. Add fragrance or essential oil and stir. Pour into containers. Place wick in centre of container, repositioning as needed. When candle has set, trim excess wick to one quarter inch. Wait 24 hours for best results.
Light and enjoy! The romantic glow of of the candle and the gentle warmth of the melted oils on the skin will make for a wonderful massage!! |

Soy Wax On Sale
 Flickering candle light and the yummy aroma of burning candles soothes the senses. 100% Pure Soy Wax is the natural choice for the environmentally conscious candle maker. Smooth, creamy, and very opaque, the easy to use Pastilles can be melted in a double boiler, coloured, and fragranced with either essential oil or oil soluable fragrance. Utilizing the appropriate wicking, the melted wax can be poured into containers, votive molds & tea light cups or likewise be used for pillar candles. Be sure to check our our large selection of different candle wick on sale.
Pouring Tips for Soy Wax:
- Heat Soy Wax to 175F (container candles); 190-200F (pillar or votive candles)
- Remove from heat source
- Add fragrance (up to 7%) and candle dye colourant as desired
- Stir while cooling
- Pour into wicked container @ 105-115F (container candle); 150-175F (wicked pillar mold); for votives, add wick AFTER pouring or after votive has cooled, unmold and drill wick hole
