| Homebound Delivery | |
Get books, DVDs and other library materials without leaving your house! HPL offers delivery to homebound patrons that are unable to visit the Library.
We offer delivery and pick-up of materials once a week. A library volunteer will pull your requested materials, deliver them and then pick them up when they are ready to be returned.

Barnes and Noble Nook eReaders are now available for checkout at the Library. The devices come with preloaded content. Search for a title in the catalog to see if it is available on the Nook.

| Spring Art Exhibit | |
Focus on the Middle: Mrs. Stewart's Shutterbugs
The spring art exhibit features eye-catching works of art by Hinsdale Middle School students from Mrs. Stephanie Stewart's 7th and 8th grade classes. By combining images of general and personal interest and use of computer graphics, each student has produced a unique vision of a familiar scene, while demonstrating dramatic uses of light, shadow, color and perspective. Featuring all local talent, this creative exhibit runs through May 15. The exhibit is located in the Quiet Reading Room and is free and open to the public during regular library hours. |

Why I Write by George Orwell
Great Books discussions explore, interpret and evaluate a challenging work through the method of Shared Inquiry. Shared Inquiry is a discussion process through which a group searches for answers to questions raised by a work that they they have all read. A discussion leader directs and guides the group by asking interpretive questions that reflect genuine doubt about the text. Participants are asked to support their ideas and consider proposed interpretations. Registration begins two weeks prior to session. |

Do you love golf and being outside? Caddying is a great way to make money! Instructor Larry Regan has caddied for decades at prominent local golf clubs and will instruct a class consisting of two 2-hour sessions. In the four hours, you will learn the rules, etiquette, and strategies of golf for prospective caddies. This program is for teens ages 13-18. Registration and attendance is required for BOTH class sessions. |

Kindergarten through fourth grade
The Hinsdale Humane Society's R.E.A.D. Therapy Program works with children to help foster a love of reading. Students will meet at the Library with a trained therapy dog and its handler for 15-minutes reading sessions to share stories and practice reading skills. Registration begins two weeks prior to each session. Registration will be taken in 15-minute increments until the sessions are full. |
