"Here's to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here's to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold."

Greetings!

Despite the lack of snow, no doubt winter is upon us and snow will be here soon.  When it does come please be sure to keep clear access to any fire hydrants in your neighborhood.

After the holidays it will  be time to start planning spring home improvement projects.  Check out the Ourstreet web site and give us a call to see if there are any incentive programs to help you with your project.

Best wishes for a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year from the Ourstreet Program.

Sincerely,

Sue Harder
Ourstreet Coordinator

Holiday Safety

Keep your home safe this season with a list of safety tips from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

- When purchasing an artificial tree, look for the label "Fire Resistant".

- When setting up a tree at home, place it away from fireplaces and radiators.

- When using a fresh tree, be sure to keep the stand filled with water to avoid drying out the tree.

- Use only non-combusitable or flame-resistant materials to trim a tree.

- Never use lighted candles on a tree or near other evergreens.

- Turn off all holiday lights before going to bed.
