David Crystal at the English-Speaking Union
This year is the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible. You can now watch a recording of Professor David Crystal's entertaining presentation on the impact of the King James Bible on idioms of the English language. The lecture explores ways in which the text has popularised so many well-known phrases and sayings found in everyday use.
