We have all heard the bad news about the economy. Turn on any news program and more often than not the leading story is a doomsday report of layoffs, budget cuts, and a down economy. Rarely do you hear about the flipside of an economic downturn, which is that the real estate market is a hotbed of great values and opportunities.
Many spectacular homes on places like Sanibel and Captiva Islands are now available. Due to the strength of foreign currencies, International buyers are looking and buying in droves - now! Southwest Florida has, and always will be, a destination for world travelers. If you are one of the fortunate with the financial means to purchase a primary residence, vacation or second home, you will find excellent values in the current economy. Therefore, if you have been considering buying in the next few years; now is the time to find a great value for your money.
If you hesitate, you may lose out on a valuable financial window of opportunity. Once you decide to take the plunge, there are a few steps to make the process go more smoothly. Make sure you work with an experienced real estate professional - one that is familiar with the locale you are interested in. Also, consider getting pre-approved for your financing by a local mortgage loan officer who understands the potential issues of investing in a resort area. Once you take these steps, you are ready to begin shopping for your very own piece of paradise.
"One secret of success in life, is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes"
- Benjamin Disraeli
Thanks For The Info Patti!

July means the middle of summer and that means school break!
If the kids in your life are like most, they head to the computer when they need a break from the heat and sunshine. This month we'd like to share some of our favorite websites designed to educate and inspire children to learn more about planet - these sites are so well done kids will forget they're learning! Here are a few of our favorites: Kidsgardening.org Kids and adults alike will love this site. An incredible resource that includes a wide range of topics such as how to identify beneficial bugs, fundraising ideas, grant opportunities, ideas for a theme garden such as planting a 'lasagna' or 'salad' garden. You'll want to bookmark this site. The EPAs Environmental Kids Club http://www.epa.gov/kids/ This site is cleverly broken into separate sections for each age group. Younger kids will enjoy on-line games such as puzzles, memory, matching games and coloring books. Older kids will have opportunities to get involved in their community, learn how to earn environmental awards and research careers. Department of Energy Kids Sitehttp://www.energy.gov/forstudentsandkids.htm Think you're ready to pit your science skills against those of other kids? Find out about lots of science contests and competitions from this site, which also features fun science facts, energy glossaries and a home energy quiz.
Arbopals.com As users participate in the site's gaming, creative activities, social networking, and learning opportunities, Arbopals plants real trees in many countries around the world. A new feature of the site is Haiti Tree Quest which focuses on reforesting the island nation.
So if you are looking for something new from the internet, check these sites out. You will be so glad to know quality sites exist that can really make a difference in the life of a child...and in the life of our planet.
