E-Paradise Newsletter
December Edition
Greetings!

Welcome to our December edition of E-Paradise.

Ah......the holidays are upon us.  We are having a white Christmas.....white sand that is.  The hustle and bustle of parties, shopping, celebrations and musical events ......the islands are alive with festivities and merriment

Not enough time and space here to get into them all so we are just giving you a glimpse of some island holiday scenes.

We also have a link to our Islands Chamber of Commerce website's shopping section so that you can get plenty of gift ideas for your special someones.  If you aren't physically here on the islands then let your fingers do the walking to the island merchant's virtual stores online.

DON'T FORGET to check out the Beggs Best Buys for the gift that keeps giving and that would be a wonderful island property to enjoy for years and generations to come.

Finally, we wish you all the joy of the season and a healthy, prosperous New Year!

Until next year........HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Go Green

Holiday Green Tips

Give the gift of saving the environment for our present and future generations.  Practice makes perfect so start now during the holidays and make it a habit in the New Year.
  • Christmas Tree - Purchase a live tree to use as a Christmas tree and it doesn't have to be the traditional fir.  After Xmas is over, plant the tree in your yard.
  • Lighting - If you're going to purchase Christmas tree lights this year; consider buying LED tree light sets - they'll last far longer and use a great deal less electricity.
  • Artificial snow spray can be made from environmentally damaging components, plus there's added waste of the can. A more earth-friendly/healthy imitation snow effect can be achieved by sprinkling baking soda on your tree. www.greenlivingtips.com
  •  Keep batteries out of our landfills. Battery operated items are hugely popular as gifts. In 2006, 40 billion single-use batteries were sold worldwide! As part of your gift buying, purchase rechargeable batteries and a battery charger - these are quite economical items to buy these days and will save you a ton of money in the long run.
  • Give a gift of hope. Does the person you are buying for really need another pair of socks? Instead of giving them a gift they can use, buy them a gift that goes to another needy person or organization - purchase it in their name.
  • Shop online -  Not only do you save on fuel, many items you purchase are shipped direct from the factory, which reduces the shipping impact.
