Thoughts in Print by Pastor Sue
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all! What a wonderful Advent and Christmas we have had and continue to have here at Lord of Life. Pastor Jones and I are so grateful for the countless volunteers and the countless hours they contributed to making our worship over the last several weeks such special opportunities for encountering our new born savior once again. In this season of light and love we could not do what we do and be who we are without all of us doing our part and for all those unsung heroes who give of themselves as they reflect the light and love of the Christ child to others - from those who decorated the space, to those who made sure the A/V was at its best, to those who offered their musical talents, to those who ushered and read lessons... the list is simply endless... please know that you are a blessing to us and to God!
And now as we enter 2012 and look forward with eager anticipation of what God has in store for us, my prayer for each and every one of you is this: that as you travel your own path through life, may you always carry in your heart the hope and peace that comes from knowing the final destination of the journey guaranteed for those who believe through the gift of the baby born in a manger; that you can do so with the certainty that you need never go it alone, for God and others, such as the special people here at Lord of Life, are here to walk along with you; and that in those times when all else fails, and life in this world becomes hard to bear, you can place your trust firmly on the one thing that will never fail you, the love and forgiveness of a gracious and all powerful God.
Peace my friends! - Pastor Sue Jones

Knowing God's Word - Women of Faith Study Guide
Many women find reading the Scriptures to be a daunting prospect, let alone actually studying them. Questions arise. Is studying the Bible different from reading it? Why do we study God's Word? How do you study God's Word? Knowing God's Word will prepare women to approach the Bible with confidence and excitement.
Review: "This devotional helps the average Christian get further in to the Bible, to think, to reflect, and to see the application in her own life. Excellent, thought-provoking questions are the key."
Review: "It's a great study for small group or individual. I have enjoyed being able to study God's word a little closer and have good conversation with other Christian women. . . it's a great study. There's something very powerful about studying the Word."
Please contact Lisa Spector at Teachjodi97@yahoo.com or 268-2842, OR Anne-Marie Pifer at Jubilee22@hotmail.com or 268-2282 to sign up or if you have any questions. You are welcome to join any time and no worries if you can't make every meeting! Books are $10. Childcare is available.
