CELEBRATE LIFE !
ADULT BIBLE STUDY RETURNS!
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 10am
We're beginning our Fall study by returning to one of our favorite guides from last year, Dr. J Ellsworth Kalas, as he looks at Old Testament Stories from the Back Side. Dr. Kalas brings a new perspective to selected Old Testament stories by approaching them from the back side through a unique starting point, a creative retelling, a new lens, or the eyes of a minor or unsympathetic character. We enjoyed exploring his perspective on the parables last year and look forward to where we will find ourselves with this new study..
SALAD, SONG, AND SACRAMENT
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 11:30
A time of fellowship around a simple meal and Holy Communion. Stay after the Bible Study or just come for the meal!
SOUNDS OF JOY AT LUTHERAN CARE IN MOORESTOWN
Monday, Sept. 12th, 1:30
Your hands and servant hearts are needed as we transport residents and share the love of Christ with one another. Come and shake hands, rubs backs, and sing together as we share the story of Jonah this month. Please see Sue Dreisbach if you would like to help!
PEP-LOOKING BACK TO SCHOOL
Thursday, Sept. 15th, Noon
Dig out those old school photos, writings, report cards, and memories that you have stowed away about your days in school at any age! We'll have a display table and be passing the microphone to share those stories and see how similar or different our experiences have been. Please sign up to bring some of our school lunch favorites for our meal!
CELEBRATION RINGERS!
Tuesday, September 20 and 27, 1:45
Come and try your hand at handbell ringing! We're starting a new learning and playing session for experienced ringers and newcomers. We play about 4 times a year at Lutheran Care, monthly for regular and holdiay worship services, and once at Medford Leas. We are always looking for more hands to ring so that all of our bells are covered. You don't have to read music but simply have a desire to bring an extra special sound in praise to God through some of our hymns and special music. Please check in with Sue Dreisbach if you would like to know more or just join us on the 20th!
HELPING HANDS
Monday, September 26th, 1:00
All hands on deck as we prepare our monthly sandwich donation to the Christian Caring Center. We seek to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need during difficult times. You can be a part of this ministry by supplying meats and cheese, making a financial donation, delivering the sandwiches to the CCC in Browns Mills, or becoming part of the sandwich brigade that puts the sandwiches all together!
DINNER AT THE DINER
Diamond Diner, Rt. 38, Hainesport
Thursday, September 28th, 4:30
We're trying out a new place but our goal is the same-great food, fellowship, and fun devotions. Please call the office if you need a ride because we would love to have you join us!
