2011 VBS a big Success!

God worked in wondrous ways to bring over 190 children, youth, and adults together to learn, serve, and celebrate God's love and grace through four wonderful stories of faith-Noah, Moses, Jonah, and Jesus and Peter water walking!  We would like to thank everyone for helping to make VBS 2011 a huge hit!   Our numbers were spectacular - this was our largest attended VBS ever!   105 children ages 2 1/2 through 12 attended the morning or evening sessions of VBS throughout the week!  In addition, 16 people attended the Adult Bible Study led by our Pastors!

We had 38 youth helpers who worked very hard at keeping everything in motion! Their willingness to serve this ministry speaks volumes of their character. Their help is priceless.

We'd especially like to recognize our spectacular group of 45 adult volunteers, for without their time, talents, sweat and passion, none of this would have been possible!

From beginning to end in Arts and Crafts, Storytelling, Games, Skits, Scenery, Music, Tech Support, Registration, Administration, Dinners, Set up, Clean up, Snacks, Photography, and Service Projects, adults and youth worked side by side to share the message of God's love and care!

A great big thank you to all the parents for lending us your precious children . . . we love them all!

We'd also like to thank Rita's Water Ice in Medford for their yummy and generous donations to our closing programs.

Our VBS may be over, but the memories of the fun we had and the lessons we learned about God will continue to be a part of all of us! And not only has this week affected those who attended, but we've raised over $410 for the Walk4Water team in Africa, hundreds of pounds of pet supplies for the Animal Welfare Shelter in Voorhees, and saved our landfills from thousands of bottle caps by taking advantage of the Aveda program. What a great way we've shared God's love with people all around the world. Thank YOU!

Thank You!

Hi all,  Thank you to everyone who came out and supported my Eagle Scout project.   We had a really great turn out of 37 volunteers and we picked a total of 387.5 pounds of blueberries!  The next gleaning will be the last week in August and it will be for watermelons.   I will send a reminder email in case anyone from church wants to help.

Thanks again!   - Nathan Leach

Our thanks to our 11 Helping Hands angels who prepared 262 sandwiches for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are served by the Christian Caring Center.  And thanks to all who provided monetary donations and supplies
