From the President's View
As we embark on our Easter journey I would like to take this time to thank the numerous staff and volunteers who help make Lord of Life the incredible church that it is.
As I came into church this past weekend I couldn't help but notice the newly painted lines defining the parking spaces. It made the church look almost new again.
On top of that the mown lawn and cleaned out flower beds made one realize that we are well into the spring season.
As spring unfolds all around us I hope we all take the time to "stop and smell the roses". My sincere hope is that all members of our congregation "resurrect" our commitment to our families: both our home family and our church family.
Lastly, take the time to do something nice for someone and see how good it makes you feel.
Yours in Christ,
Scott Glossner
President
Lord of Life Congregational Council

Thank Your to our Volunteers!
Thanks to of our volunteers for the many things done at the church; whether recognized as a team or an individual helping our ministries - here is a poem for you!
"The Gardens of Kindness Never Fade"
A garden is measured not by its withered leaves,
but by each budding flower and the smiles that it receives.
A day is measured not by hours that have flown,
but by how much we've done and the compassion that we've shown.
Our lives are measured not by what we have or take,
but by what we give back and the difference that we make.

"Dear Friends of Lutheran Care,
On behalf of the residents of the Lutheran Care, I just want to take this opportunity to personally thank you for donating the wonderful books or audio materials for our library! Your thoughtfulness and community outreach is greatly appreciated and certainly a blessing to our seniors. We all have the power to make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time, and your act of generosity and sharing is certainly appreciated. Again, thank you for thinking of us. I know these delightful books will bring some extra special smiles to our seniors as they enjoy the hours of reading.
Sincerely,
Saralynne McDowell, LPN ADC CDP

Time & Talent needed!
Tellers! - We are looking for one or two additional people to be tellers to count the contributions to the church. If you can help, please contact Bill Reich at Finance@lordlife.us
Maintenance! - The Lord of Life Property Committee is looking for a few good people to help maintain our facilities. We meet one Saturday morning each month to do the things that need to be done to keep our building in good shape. If Saturdays are not your thing, tasks may be taken from the "Job Jar" and completed on your own schedule. So, if you can do simple repairs, painting, replace light bulbs, cut grass or any type of household task; please contact Chuck Bubeck (609-953-8793; cfbubeck@verizon.net) and share your time and talents. Saturday May 7 is SPRING-CLEAN- UP at LOL !!
Containers- How about recycling some of you deli containers with us! Instead of tossing them into the trash, pleas drop a few off in the kitchen. We could really use them for leftovers after our "eating events".

Holy Humor:
Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, are excessively mischievous. They are always getting into trouble and their parents know if any mischief occurs in their town, the two boys are probably involved.
The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.
The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. The mother sent the 8 year old in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon. The preacher, a huge man with a deep booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,
"Do you know where God is, son?"
The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open. So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God?!
Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD?!"
The boy screamed & bolted from the room, ran directly home & dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?" The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time!"
"GOD is missing, and they think WE did it!"
