Brothers and Sisters...
Lord of Life has a wonderful history of celebrating the arts; especially as expressed in the gifts of music and drama. This was true even when we had no building of our own and we were using the multi-purpose room in the old Indian Mills School. It was in that space that children, youth and adults presented three musicals, the story of Noah and the Ark ("100% Chance of Rain"), the tale of Daniel and his 3 friends ("It's Cool in the Furnace") and the saga of Moses and the Pharaoh ("Moses and the Freedom Fanatics").
Since moving into our own space, we have hosted numerous groups who have shared their God given talents and abilities with the congregation and community. You may remember attending a concert by "Jack in the Green", the "Villanova Singers", "Freedom Village", "Dakota Road" or the "Gospel Choir of Prince of Peace LC in Marlton". Perthaps you have been blessed by the marvelous music shared at one of the "Serenade for Wildlife" concerts or were present for one of the Lenape Regional School District's "Young Artists in Concert" events.
The performing arts have always been an important part of our life together. That is why I am so excited to invite you to this coming sunday performance of "Amahl and the Night Visitors". Actors, singers and dancers will tell a tale of compassion, generosity and healing as villagers, Amahl, his mother and the magi spend time with us in the sanctuary at Lord of Life.
It will be the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate the story of "The Epiphany" event and remember the reason for this special season of the church year. Please be sure to join us for this marvelous gift to our congregation and don't hesitate to invite family, friends and neighbors to "Come and See" too!
Your Brother in Christ...Pastor David Jones

Come experience the visitation of the Magi and a young boy with challenges who feels he has no gift to offer. Confirmation Corner
The Confirmation Classes along with our Pastors, parents, and other adults will be spending Martin Luther King Day in learning and service. After gathering at the church at 8:30, they'll travel to Bridge of Peace Lutheran Church in Camden. They will work in community with Bridge members on seven different projects. We wish them well as they learn about this Camden ministry and share their time and talents with one another. Another Youth Led Worship opportunity is planned for Saturday, February 5th. The youth have done a wonderful job over the last few years at leading services throughout the year. In addition to being worship leaders, lectors, greeters, and singers, we would love to add youth musicians to the Praise Team that night. Please let your Confirmation coaches know if you would like to use your gifts at this special evening of worship.

Sharing our Gifts
I read this poem and thought "If Only" we could get everyone involved in the ministries of Lord of Life, whether it be through time, talent or treasure, we could make everyone's lives, including our own, so much better: "If Only" If only I can lighten someone's load / as they travel down life's road, My heart would oh so happy be, to lessen someone's misery. If only I can fill someone with hope, Give them courage with which to cope Replace their sadness with a smile / I'd feel such gladness all the while. If only I can brighten someone's day / And chase their dreary cares away Morning, afternoon and night / My heart would sing a happy tune. We do a lot through our missions, helping hands and shopping cart in the entryway. Please prayerfully consider how you can be a part of the ministries here at Lord of Life. - Priscilla Faucett - - - - - - - - - - |
Usher Training
We need you! Ushers play a significant role in our worship life, and we need more of them, particularly at the 10:00 worship service. Men, women, youth, and whole families are encouraged to come and find out more about being one of these important servants. There will be a rotating schedule for each of the services, so this is not an "every week" commitment. Training will be held on Thursday, January 27, 7 PM. Please contact Bud Markelwith (609-654-9450) for more information. - - - - - - - - - - |
Pictorial Directory Coming to Lord of Life!
It's been a few years since we were all photographed, and in anticipation of our 25th Anniversary this November we have decided to refresh and update the Lord of Life Pictorial Directory! If you would like to help us with this project, there will be a kickoff meeting (no pictures!) on Tuesday Jan 18th with Life Touch (photographer and producer). Thanks! Barb Wagner.

Grace Place
Grace Place is going international!! The first week of March we are going to hold our first ever International Week where the children will learn about the world! We will be taking trips to many countries and are looking for anyone who has experienced a foreign country that can share information, items, pictures, and souvenirs from that country. We are asking for volunteers who can give us a morning (9-12) the week of the 7th of March to share your experience. We are also in need of large boxes (the size the children can crawl in) for the four year old classes' "Crate World"! If interested, please contact Judy Burgo at 268-7383. This promises to be a great learning experience for our children that will be fun for all! - - - - - - - - - -

Lord of Life Church Council needs YOU!
We have a couple of openings on the church council, and if you have considered helping us run the "business" of the church, we'd like to know! Please contact Dennis Yates and/or Pastors Jones and/or Scott Glossner if you'd like to help! - - - - - - - - - - |

Nursery Volunteers @ 10am We're still looking for a few adults to volunteer in the Nursery during the 10am service on a rotating basis. If you'd like to help, please contact Donna Yates. Thank You!
Audio / Video volunteers Looking for volunteers to work the system especially on Saturday night services. Training is available, and it isn't too difficult to do. If you can help, please contact the church office.
Snow Shovelers This winter is bringing us quite a bit of ice and snow. The parking lot is being cleared, but we could use some help shoveling the walkways and salting both the walkways and lot before weekend services and during the week. If you can be on call to help, please call the office to let us know! You will be greatly appreciated. Our thanks to the "snow angels" who have already shown up to help!
Casserole and Soup Makers We would like to be ready when someone becomes ill or needs help as they recuperate. If you have a favorite soup or casserole that you would like to have available, we have a freezer that is ready to store it! Please place your food offering in a non-returnable container marked with its contents, drop it off at the church, and let the office know so that it can be frozen. - - - - - - - - - -
