SonQuest 2010 VBS
Vacation Bible School  Aug 2-6th - the church will become a "rainforest".   Morning sessions for preschoolers-K; evening sessions for 1st-5th grades.  Bible stories, music, drama, crafts, games, snacks, and lots of FUN learning God's Word!  Prayerfully consider how you can HELP in any of those areas as well, and sign-up on the bulletin board in the entryway!

Cardboard rolls from paper towels and artificial greenery are needed to create our rainforest.  Items may be placed in the box in the entryway.  Also, please start saving all plastic twist-off lids for our recycling collection!
Thank You!
I want to say a very heartfelt thanks to all of you for the tremendous sharing of your prayers, support, and care throughout my surgery and treatment.  Being surrounded in love by my church family went such a long way in helping with my healing and has meant more than mere words can express.  God's peace to you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Love, Sue Dreisbach

Help us say thanks!
Join us after each of the services on July 24th and 25th as we say thank you to Vicar Sue Jones for her work among us this past year. If you can bring some "goodies" please contact the office... (or just bring something!) Thanks!

Wise Time Management
If I am able to manage my time wisely, I will have more time for someone else - to listen and share spiritual concerns.  I may also have time-space to participate in a music ministry, volunteer, men's life or coffee break or serve on the church council.  If I develop my skills and abilities and manage them well, I'll be ready and able to use them to bless someone else.  If my home, my farm or business is friendly and hospitable, it becomes a site of ministry to bless someone else.  Wise management facilitates more ministry.

The Dry Summer Months are here...
And we're not just talking about the lawn!  The summer months are typically difficult financially for your church.  Please help us keep "green" by catching up on your pledge, or by making sure you don't forget the church during these months.  Also prayerfully consider sharing your treasure with an extra donation, or consider the 'simply giving' program which provides automatic deductions and will help us provide the missions and services especially when it's hot outside!
For more information on 'simply giving' click here (.pdf file).

Holy Humor
Three boys are in the school yard bragging about their  fathers. The first boy says, 'My Dad scribbles a few words  on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50.' The second boy says, 'That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on piece of paper, he calls it a song, and they give him $100.'  The third boy says, 'I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles  a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon, and it takes eight people to collect all the money!'
