Brothers and Sisters...first communion
If you haven't taken time to read the summary of what happened in the year 2009 at Lord of Life, then please pick up a copy of "GOD'S WORK...OUR HANDS - In 2009" found in the entry way of the church. This review of our life and ministry together should be required reading for all those members of the congregation who want to see just how graciously God worked "in, with and through" each one of us last year.
From marvelous new ministry approaches in all areas of our educational and youth ministry to a variety of brand new initiatives in service, support, witness and worship, the Lord has been leading us into deeper awareness of God's goodness. It is with great joy that I reflect on how the Holy Spirit did "a new thing" among us in ministries like the Men's Fellowship Breakfast, Fuller Center for Housing in the Jersey Pines, Pony Express Fall Stewardship Emphasis, Common Ground Coffee House, engagement in the Natural Church Development process and the publication of the e-News.
What a blessing it is to see all the ways in which staff and
volunteers at Lord of Life have answered the call to "serve the Lord" and even added a vicar to the mix.  And perhaps the most gratifying news to share is that 14 children, 1 youth and 4 adults were baptized into the community of faith this past year joining the 362 others who have found their way into the water of life at the font since Lord of Life opened its doors in 1986.
Yes 2009 was a good and gracious year for our congregation once again proving that God has "blessed us to be a blessing!"

Update from Haiti... from Hope Alive!
"March 7 - I am writing this evening from Port-au Prince. The flight was good. We were able to bring in 7 nurses, an ER Doctor, 2 dentists and several helpers. We also got through 900 pounds of medicine, including 2000 inoculations. This is the first time we are staying at this place. It is a Christian guest house and is very nice. We plan to hit the nearby orphanage tomorrow and then tent cities the rest of the week and also 2-3 days at the clinic in Mariani."

"The city seems to be returning to Haitian normal, with street vendors and people walking everywhere.   The tent and tarp cities seem to go on for blocks and blocks. The military is everywhere as are the missionaries.  It is stunning to me that not quite 2 months ago, more than 230,000 humans lost their lives, probably less than a 20-mile radius from here. We'll keep you up to date.
"

As you may know, our own Penny Miller is with this team of doctors and nurses helping in Haiti.  Keep track on the Hope Alive! Webpage at: http://www.hopealiveclinic.org/

Benefit Concert for Hope Alive! - Haiti
Paul Baloche is doing a BENEFIT Concert for Hope Alive! Clinic to help with EARTHQUAKE RELIEF in HAITI on March 21, 6:00 p.m. (Sunday) at the Lenape Performing Arts Center (Cherokee High School, Marlton, NJ).   If you love wonderful worship music, and/or want to do something to help Haiti, this is the event for you. Paul Baloche (recording artist and worship leader) will bring his band and special guest, Jared Anderson in support of Hope Alive! Clinic Ministries.  Paul and Jared are doing this without compensation!  You can order tickets on-line for $11+ donation at www.itickets.com or www.hopealiveclinic.org
