What's Next for Lord of Life?  Our church is dynamic and growing and we face many questions about our direction in the future.
How do we best serve the community and our congregation in our mission of learning, serving and celebrating?   How do we best face the challenges and opportunities that lie before us?  As we grow in our 23rd year together, what is God calling us to do, what to be, and how to change?
Your church council has decided to work with the NJ Synod on seeking answers to these questions through a program called "Natural Church Development".  Over the course of the next 12-18 months, we will work with our NCD coach, Pastor Dick Kitz.  It will start with a survey of members of our congregation to find out where our church is now, and then we will have a focus to work together on opportunities to grow in the future.   If you are asked to complete the survey, please get engaged and help us with this important effort.  Thanks!
Blessed to be a Blessing!
When can a Lenten discipline become an opportunity for year-round discipleship?  Whenever members and friends of Lord of Life take a journey on the Meditaton Walk, regardless of the church season, the opportunity is available.

This walk is located on the southeast corner of our property and includes biblical "stations of the cross" which are preceded by a stop in "the Upper Room" and conclude with a celebration of "the Resurrection."  Devotional booklets are provided (for children and adults) at the entrance to the walk.  These guides will enhance the experience with scriptural texts and prayers.

As we take this walk ourselves or invite others to experience this time-tested church tradition with us, it becomes clear that our Meditation Walk provides one more opportunity for us to be "blessed to be a blessing!"

This is a joyous occasion here at Lord of Life!   On Sunday, March 8th, we commissioned 9 dedicated and gifted Care Partners who answered a special call to use their gifts to follow in the caring footsteps of Jesus.  We invite you to celebrate these  dedicated and gifted individuals. Care Partners Sue Dreisbach, Peter Edwardsen, Jill Glossner, Lee Jennings, Mary-Jo Miserendino, Anne-Marie Peiffer, Jodi Shover, Dennis Yates and Donna Yates; each stand ready to begin this caring ministry within our congregation and our community.  We ask you, the people of Lord of Life, to open your hearts to the ministry of these brothers and sisters and pray that they may be effective servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Care Partners are available to come alongside any brother or sister in need.  So if  you or someone you know is facing a difficult situation, needs a prayer partner, or simply someone to listen to the things of their heart, please direct them to the Care Partner Ministry by calling the church office. Brochures are available in the church foyer. We will respond within 24 hours of receiving your message.  May God be glorified!  - -Jan Fierick
