Finn O'Hara's Rock Band Photos FTP Creative Imaging's latest project
As the son of a former Kodak employee, Finn O'Hara is a photographer who pays attention to the details, from the environment of the portrait to the personalities within. That's why O'Hara called FTP Creative Imaging at S1 about a project he had shot - 16 images on the theme of a "1980's rock band".
Finn came down to meet Jeff Brown, and they discussed how to make the shots a bit more "moody" with a "gritty and edgy" feel. Finn really enjoyed then working with Jeff, both in person and on our online interactive lightbox and markup system. Jeff included features like cigarettes, smoke, nicotine stains on the rocker's hands and hand drawn tattoos on their bodies.
If you're in need of high quality and creative retouching services, check out our web at: FTP Creative Imaging at S1 or call Jeff Brown at 416.466.3024.

Biggest Trend or Issue Facing Photographers Today?
Do you have something you want to say on this? Peter Stranks, a fellow Photographer and now a Professor of Photography at Georgian College is teaching a course on this subject. Originally he asked us if we could ask a few clients this question, which we did with interesting results. So interesting we decided to run the same question in the newsletter, tabulate the results and then publish them in an upcoming newsletter for our readers, as well as Peter will use them as more background for his course.
If you are interested, could you please take a moment and email what you feel is the biggest trend or issue facing photographers today? It doesn't need to be an essay; if you would just introduce the topic and clarify in a sentence or two your thoughts on the subject. Then we will compile the replies and publish them.
Please send all replies to pstranks@georgianc.on.ca

New RAID 1 Drive Systems on Our Capture Carts Our capture carts are now equipped with RAID 1 drive systems with hot swap-able SATA drives. (A RAID 1 drive has 2 separate drives and the controller writes a copy to both drives).
How it works: at the end of your capture, simply pop out one of the trayless SATA drives from the RAID 1 Back up system. If you are renting the capture cart then you take a SATA drive home in a anti static case, and pop it into your SATA tray-less Drive enclosure.
If we are supplying capture services to you, one SATA drive goes with you in an antistatic drive box and the other is removed and stored for 30 days at S1 as a remote backup.
To support this new drive strategy, we now sell SATA drive units, Anti Static drive cases, and single tray-less SATA drive enclosures with USB II & eSATA connections.
This system is inexpensive and easy to use; buy the drive once and move your information around securely. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________
