Greetings!
In 2009 S1 brings you a new Website, a new Newsletter, new Hours, new Equipment, new Discounts and our new Camera Side Production service.
We are also officially launching our Equipment Rental Department for in studio or on location rentals, with Toronto's earliest opening hours.
To celebrate this we are running a 50% discount promotion on Rental Equipment!
You don't have to shoot in our Studios. We also offer 'Camera Side Production', a great service of packaging equipment, services, assistants and vehicles together, conveniently in a cost effective way.
In fact, if you have a photo production related question or problem contact me directly and I'll do my best to help, even if you are not using our services. We are always happy to help!

 New S1 Web
We hope that you will find our new website useful for your upcoming studio or location shoots.

 New Studio Hours + Opening Time
The new hours are 8.00 am till 7.00 pm for studio rentals.
This should help when you have a longer day. (Overtime rates apply outside these hours at $75 hour)
Both S1 Reception and Rental Department are now open 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
(We have the earliest opening hours of all rental equipment houses in Toronto).

S1 Produces ESPN Shoot
ESPN magazine was in Toronto to photograph Raptors player Jose Calderon.
The Photographer required to shoot Jose from underneath through a clear plexi at a height of 8 feet. Add in the height of Jose at around 7' and another 5' minimum for lighting we needed at least 20' + ceiling height.
S1 looked after the Camera Side production including renting a location, building a set to the photographers specs, supplying all rental equipment, crew, Digital Capture services and catering.
We have been providing Camera Side production to shoots and supplying equipment, services and crew to locations outside of our studios. The cost, hassle & time savings can be significant.

S1 Produces Ebony Magazine Shoot
As is the case when Films are being shot in Toronto, quite often the Gallery or Magazine shoots come here because the celebrities are here. S1 looked after the Camera Side production on this shoot, including studios, equipment rental, digital capture, personal assistants, photo assistants, catering, and support vehicles.
The shoot was promoting the movie "The Secret Life of Bee's" and the celebrities were Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Sophie Okonedo, and Jennifer Hudson. ____________________________________________________________________________
