Charles Schwab

NEW CHARLES SCHWAB BRANCH IN NASHUA
Charles Schwab

Charles Schwab, a provider of full-service, high-value brokerage services, announced today the opening of a new independent branch in Nashua, New Hampshire. The 1,200 square foot branch opens its doors in December at 2 Cellu Drive in the Amherst Village retail center. The branch will offer investors local access to a full suite of investing and personal finance guidance, tools and products.

The new Nashua location is a first-of-its-kind Schwab branch franchise, part of a larger franchising initiative the firm announced in early 2011. Schwab's decision to begin opening franchise branches, in addition to its more than 300 existing company-managed branches, is grounded in a commitment to make financial advice and guidance more accessible in local communities across the country. Schwab's company-managed and independent branches will deliver the same suite of brokerage products and services, pricing, and overall client service and experience.

The Nashua branch is led by Schwab Independent Branch Leader Mary Murphy, a resident of Bedford, NH. Prior to managing Schwab's Nashua branch, Murphy was a financial advisor and career agent with MassMutual Financial Group in Bedford, NH, providing clients with investing advice and financial plans, in addition to working with clients on developing asset and income protection strategies. Murphy was also a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services in Manchester, NH.

"Schwab strongly believes in the importance of giving people local, face-to-face access to investing help and guidance, and I am excited to be the face of Schwab in the Nashua community" said Murphy. "Since its founding, Schwab has been a champion of the individual investor and committed to putting clients' needs first, and I am confident that philosophy will resonate in Nashua and the surrounding communities."

Murphy added, "Perhaps now more than ever, people want a financial services firm that provides straightforward investing help that is grounded in an investor's specific needs, clear and transparent pricing, and resources that help educate people about investing and improve their financial literacy."

Before entering the financial services industry, Murphy was a teacher at Manchester West High School where she taught mathematics to special needs students and mentored the school's student investment club. In 2006, she was nominated for Manchester West High School "Teacher of the Year." Murphy received her Masters in Education from Rivier College in Nashua, NH.

St. Mary's Bank

DONATES $3,500 TO CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES OF NH

stmary

St. Mary's Bank recently donated $3,500 to Child and Family Services (CFS) of New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the well-being of children by providing an array of social services to prevent child abuse and neglect, strengthen family life and promote community commitment to the needs of children. The funds will be used to help CFS implement an online data management system to track and evaluate the impact of its services.

Founded in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1908, St. Mary's Bank is the nation's first credit union.  As a not-for-profit, member-owned credit union, St. Mary's Bank makes progressive financial products and services available and affordable to consumers and businesses. Members enjoy excellent service, competitive rates, low fees and state-of-the-art banking services.  Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, St. Mary's Bank has branches in Manchester, Hudson, Londonderry, Milford and Nashua. "CFS plays an important role in our community by protecting and fostering one of our most precious assets-our youth," said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach at St. Mary's Bank. "St. Mary's recognizes the work done by CFS as an integral piece of successfully nurturing New Hampshire's families, and we are pleased to provide assistance to this wonderful organization so they can continue their operations in a seamless manner."

New Hampshire's oldest charitable children's organization, CFS provides a full spectrum of social services that address human need at every stage of life. Programs are designed to get to the root of problems, resolve personal issues and family crises and strengthen and enrich communities. Last year CFS served 15,000 individuals from 14 program sites around the state.

"St. Mary's generous grant will enhance our ability to gather data on the people we serve and the problems they face and help to put that into the context of our communities' overall social health," said Michael Ostrowski, president/CEO, Child and Family Services. "This new technology will streamline our quality improvement efforts and enable us to better report program outcomes to donors, the legislature, and human service practitioners.  Ultimately, this state-of-the-art system will help us to optimize services to children and families." The new facility combines the services of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua East, West and Squires Centers, and features a patient-centered and environmentally friendly design, to serve as One Healthy Location to meet patients' needs.

"Our provider teams at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua are made-up of physicians, nurse practitioners, care coordinators and support staff who work together collaboratively and in consultation with one another," said Dr. Sanders Burstein, Medical Director for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua. "The design of our new facility enhances this collaboration, enabling us to better serve our patients and provide the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time."

St. Joseph Hospital

ST. JOSEPH HOME & HOSPICE CARE IS RECOGNIZED AS
WE HONOR VETERANS PARTNER

st joe

It may surprise many people to learn that 25 percent of those who die every year in the US are Veterans. To help provide care and support that reflect the important contributions made by these men and women, SJHHC has become a national partner of We Honor Veterans, a pioneering campaign developed by National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

About St. Joseph Healthcare: St. Joseph Healthcare is a regional, full-service healthcare system dedicated to providing innovative, high quality health care. The main campus, St. Joseph Hospital, is a 208-bed facility combining the latest technologies and personalized medicine with conveniences such as around-the-clock emergency services, comprehensive, specialized treatment and preventive services at the Cardiovascular & Diabetes Center, Breast Care Center, and Oncology Center, a CARF-accredited stroke program at our Rehabilitation Center, and labor and delivery services at the Childbirth Center. We offer an extensive physician network of specialists and primary care providers. Affiliates include St. Joseph Home & Hospice.

As a We Honor Veterans Partner, SJHHC will implement ongoing Veteran-centered education for their staff and volunteers to help improve the care they provide to the Veterans they proudly serve. The nation is seeing many of the Veterans who served in World War II and Korea pass away-and the number of deaths of Vietnam Veterans is beginning to rise.

The We Honor Veterans campaign provides tiered recognition to organizations that demonstrate a systematic commitment to improving care for Veterans. "Partners" can assess their ability to serve Veterans and, using resources provided as part of the campaign, integrate best practices for providing end-of-life care to Veterans into their organization. By recognizing the unique needs of our nation's Veterans who are facing a life-limiting illness, SJHHC is better able to accompany and guide Veterans and their families toward a more peaceful ending. And in cases where there might be some specific needs related to the Veteran's  military service, combat experience or other traumatic events, SJHHC will find tools to help support those they are caring for.

"All hospices are serving Veterans but often aren't aware of that person's service in the armed forces," said J. Donald Schumacher, NHPCO president and CEO. "Through We Honor Veterans we are taking a giant step forward in helping hospice and palliative care providers understand and serve Veterans at the end of life and work more effectively with VA medical facilities in their communities."

"VA shares a common goal with our nation's hospices, and that is to provide the best possible care specifically tailored for Veterans, meeting their goals of care in their preferred setting. As we focus on working together and unite our services and skills, We Honor Veterans will channel our combined strengths directly to Veterans - wherever they are receiving care."

The resources of We Honor Veterans focus on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgment, coupled with Veteran-centric education of health care staff caring for Veterans. To learn more about We Honor Veterans or to support this important work via a secure, online donation, please visit www.wehonorveterans.org.

"America's Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it is never too late to give them a hero's welcome home. Now it is time that we step up, acquire the necessary skills and fulfill our mission to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve," added Schumacher.
