T-BONES Great American Eatery

NH RESTAURANT CONNECTING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA FANS
Tbones
Earlier this month, T-BONES and Cactus Jack's restaurants launched their latest promotion - but you most likely would have only heard about it if you're connected to them through social media.

The All-Star giveaway may be baseball themed, but the heavier emphasis is on Facebook, Twitter, emails and text messages. Guests can download a game board from T-BONES.com or Go2CJs.com.  To complete it, they collect All-Star "baseball cards" - featuring 19 T-BONES and Cactus Jack's All-Stars - which have stickers that can be affixed to the game board.

Guests can receive All-Star cards two ways:
-Email and text message clues lead guests to vouchers for All-Star cards
              on the two websites
            - Facebook and Twitter updates regularly announce All-Star menu items
              that come with All-Star cards.

Participants are eligible to win between $25 and $100 in dining certificates for completed game boards entered at one of the restaurants by Tuesday, July 12 - the date of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. $30,000 in dining certificates will be divvied up to more than 600 winners throughout the restaurant group's six locations.

"It's taking on a life of its own, just as we had hoped!" said Tom Boucher, CEO and owner of Great NH Restaurants. "Almost everyone is on Facebook or Twitter, so that's where we knew we had to be for our latest promotion. After only a few weeks in, guests are already posting their progress in collecting cards and requesting to trade cards with others. This is true viral marketing!" For more information about the All-Star giveaway, visit T-BONES.com.             T-BONES Great American Eatery is on Twitter at @TBONESNH, while Cactus Jack's Great West Grill can be followed at @CactusJacksNH. Both restaurants are on Facebook at facebook.com/TBONES.CJs.

Town of Hudson Recycling Committee

WINNERRS ANNOUNCED IN RECYCLING COMMITTEE SCAVENGER HUNT CONTEST

The third annual Earth Day contest in Hudson's elementary schools sponsored by the Town Recycling Committee was a huge success with over 410 entries submitted by Earth Day, 2011. The contest was focused on students searching Committee approved recycling websites in cooperation with teachers and parents to find the answers to five basic and three bonus questions related to Earth Day and recycling facts.

All five elementary schools participated with the highest numbers of contest entries received from Presentation of Mary Academy (PMA), Hills Garrison School and Nottingham West (NWES).  The class with the highest numbers of entries was Room 305 at NWES, closely followed by NWES Room 408 and PMA 5JD.

Winners of the contest are Paola M. fourth grade, NWES; Amanda N., first grade, Hills Garrison; Brad D., fourth grade, PMA; Corey O., third grade, HO Smith; and Tom B, first grade, Library St.  Certificates and prizes will be awarded by the Selectmen and representatives of Enterprise Bank at the Board of Selectmen's Meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.  Certificates will also be presented to the schools and popsicle parties are planned for the classes with highest levels of student participation.

For more information about the Town of Hudson Recycling Committee visit www.hudsonnh.gov/boards/recycling .

Previous contests in the elementary schools include a poster contest in 2009 and a slogan contest in 2010 which resulted in four winning slogans which appear on banners in the schools and other town venues.  The numbers of entries in the Scavenger Hunt far outnumber the earlier contests and demonstrate the enthusiasm and commitment to protecting the environment through recycling among the youth of Hudson.
