HIDING AMONG THE BAGGAGE

But So they asked the Lord, "Where is he?" And the Lord replied, "He is hiding among the baggage."

(1 Samuel 10:22 NLT)

One day, Saul went out to search for his lost donkeys.  He was however sought out by Samuel and anointed to be the first king of Israel. Once anointed, the bible says "God gave him a new heart...then the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him" (1 Samuel 10:9, 10).  Immediately, he found he could prophesy, but those who knew him questioned his prophetic anointing by proclaiming, "Is even Saul a prophet? How did the son of Kish become a prophet?"  (1 Samuel 10:11).

Saul on that day, found something for which he wasn't searching.  Although he had been empowered by the Holy Spirit and changed internally, he refused to tell his family what had happened to him. He went back home, continued to plow the fields and when the time came for him to be revealed, the man anointed king of Israel was found hiding... "among the baggage."

Unfortunately many of us are hiding among the baggage too. Although we know we have a calling on our life, our "baggage" keeps holding us back!  Maybe it's because you've had discouraging experiences in the past when you attempted to walk in your anointing. Maybe it's feelings of low self-esteem, fear of talking to people, physical appearance, shyness, past failures etc.  You must remember this anointing was given to you for free. You were not searching for it! He chose you for a time as this. It's time to break free and become that person you've been anointed to be...a KING.

Stay above...always.

Yours & His,
Angela
