DO YOU PLAN?
"...Which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first, and count the cost ..." (Luke 14:28)
It is important that you develop a habit of planning for your future. We all have great expectations for our lives and most of us can quote scriptures about how great our lives will be. God does have great blessings in store for us but we must never assume that things will happen on their own accord, it is your result oriented planning that commits God to direct you to your expected end (Proverbs 16:9). I once heard a preacher on television tell a story about a man he knew. This man told pastor every Sunday, "I'm wealthy, I'm healthy and I'm blessed beyond measure". The problem was he did not have a job, and even more he had no plans for his future. He was lazy and made no effort to go look for a job to care for his family. Will God bless such a man who has no plans for his future? Certainly not!
Now, what does it take to carry out an effective planning exercise? Sit Down First!
This is where many people miss it. If you are facing a challenge, please don't act before you think. The proper procedure is "Sit down first." That is what enables you to set your priorities; programming the things to be done now, those to be left till next week and those for next month, for a phase by phase achievement of your goal. The reason for so many unfinished projects, unfulfilled vows, grounded destinies and aborted purposes is failure to plan. Your rising begins with your sitting down first. Until you sit tight to plan, you cannot rise high.
The tower of your dreams can be built. Your expectations can be realized. All things are possible. Even if you don't possess all that is required to accomplish your dream presently, it can be done! You simply have to place the goal before you and begin to devise a program of action to make it a reality - that is what planning is all about.
Stay above...always.
