A river flowed through Eden and watered the garden... the river branched out to become four streams (Genesis 2:10)
In the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam one river that soon branched out to became four additional streams: Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel and Euphrates. These streams were intended to be sources of additional provision for Adam. You are no different. The vision that God has given you may need to be funded by different streams. God has placed dreams, gifts, talents and destiny deep within you. All of that came from Him, so surely He will enable you to put them to work for His glory.
What is the point here? God wants to provide more for you! Your job can be just one of several streams of income God opens for you. Have you ever considered that? Although Paul was well supported by the churches, there were other times he used his tent making skills to fund his ministry. You might just be realizing that there's another gift surfacing in your life. If so, embrace it, develop it, pray over it, use it, and then watch God make it flourish.
Don't let people label or compartmentalize you: you're not just a factory worker, a teacher, a receptionist...you may also have other remarkable skills that you can use to open up additional streams for you. There is so much you can do to make your talents work for you. Your prayer today can be, "Lord open my eyes to the additional streams available to me". He will do exactly that, because He longs to give you increase, bless you so you can be a blessing!
