Every physical warfare you see around you is traceable to the way a man thinks. It's called mental warfare. Until Satan overcomes you in your mind and in your thoughts, he cannot prevail over you in the physical. The mind of man is an open junction. Satan will suggest evil thoughts to you, but you have the power either to reject those thoughts or embrace them. When he flashes a picture before your mind and tells you, "You will never have what you desire", you have the power to reject it and tell him, "No! Satan, you are a liar. God has promised to give me all the desires of my heart"
The warfare in we are involved in is the war of the mind! Christianity is a call to warfare not funfair. And the war is fought with spiritual weapons, not toys. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;"
There is no hold of the devil anywhere that you can't pull down. You can pull down the devil from any height! How? By "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" You only do this by thinking right!
No matter what is happening around you, to keep thinking right. Satan is free to suggest all manner of evil to your mind but he does not have the power to enforce them. If he did, he wouldn't require your permission to do so. Evil imaginations only have the power to manifest in your life when you do nothing about them. Many people suffer all manner of calamities in life because they accepted the suggestions of Satan to their minds and started to think that way.
Satan is not a man to deal with quietly; you have to give him fire for fire! Never allow his seed to get to the ground of your thoughts. Cast it out before it has time to germinate. When a farmer sees weeds trying to grow around his crops, he immediately starts uprooting them. If you allow Satan's seed to grow, it will choke the word of God in your heart till the word becomes ineffective, and evil will begin to manifest around you. Whatever you don't want to see grow in your life, as soon as Satan suggests it to your mind, uproot it, cast it down! Think right!
