Whatever Satan brings against you, to bring you down or destroy you, can end up as a blessing. There is a true story that is a great example of this truth. In the early 20's, the boll weevil destroyed the cotton crop in Rucker, Alabama. Out of desperation, the farmers reverted to planting peanuts and ended up producing more peanuts than any county in the nation. Consequently the little town became very prosperous and is well known to this day for their peanut production. The town erected a monument that read: "In profound appreciation of the boll weevil and what it has done to herald our prosperity."

When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, He didn't respond till after he'd been dead four days. Because Jesus delayed did not mean He wasn't working. He chose to demonstrate His resurrecting power...to prove that nothing is too hard for God.

Joseph was falsely imprisoned for 13 years. But God was with him and he went on to save multitudes, including his brothers who sold him into slavery. He maintained a good attitude and his struggles made him better, not bitter. God used Esther to save her people, but first He put her in the position of living where she didn't want to live, and doing what she didn't want to do.

Think about Ruth. She had been widowed at an early age and by faith she followed her mother-in-law to a new land. God was working behind the scenes and Ruth ended up gleaning in a field where she met and married a wealthy man named Boaz. In addition to bearing him children, she became part of Jesus ancestral bloodline.

If you are struggling to see God's purpose in your pain and suffering today, rest assured He has one. When you trust God, He is always working behind the scene for you. As God's child, nothing is ever lost. He will makes all things work together for your good!
