It's not what you are that holds you back; it's what you think you aren't. Satan knows this truth so well that he will continuously have us relive our past mistakes and failures in an effort to have us think we are "damaged goods" and not good enough. He can also use your present circumstances and people to make you think you are not worth much!

Don't allow anybody but God tell you what you're worth. That's too much power to give to anyone. Once you allow the label "not good enough" to stick to your mind, you have set limits in your life. You will constantly be concerned about how you look, what others think and whether or not you're going to succeed in life. But if you believe God's promise, "I have loved you with an everlasting love...I will build you and you shall be rebuilt", then you are free to focus on improving and reaching your God-given potential.

What life has torn down, God can rebuild. When you think you are of no use, that's when you can really be used. When you think you are not good enough, God is good enough! He is good enough that he's working to perfect all that concerns you. Good enough to see you as "righteous" in Christ. Good enough that He's mending the broken areas of your life and making you whole. Good enough that His love for you is everlasting and guaranteed.

Meditate on this: "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten...Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame." Joel 2:25-26. That's how good enough God is to make sure you are rebuilt!
