When God is ready to move, He moves very quickly. In fact God can move so quickly that it can feel like you've moved from hell to heavenly places in a few hours! The Bible uses words like "suddenly", "immediately" and "straightway" to remind us of this truth. When God moves, we must be ready to move too. God does not announce His move with trumpets and fanfare, so you must stay alert and be prepared, especially for something you've been waiting and believing for.

You may just be a moment away from the answer you've been seeking! That's all the time it takes for God to change things...a moment. Don't let discouragement dull your faith and don't allow procrastination to steal your opportunity. Referring to His second coming, Jesus said, "Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house" (Matthew 24:17). The decision to stay focused is what makes the difference between staying where you are and moving forward in life.

Don't look to people. Don't wait for people. If you have a habit of doing this, you will always miss the move of God. A paralyzed man missed his healing for thirty-eight years because he waited for people's help. He told Jesus: "I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up" (John 5:7). For years he sat beside the solution, but others caused him to miss it. Nothing is more important than what God is saying and doing in your life right now. Stay focused on that. The actions or opinions of others must not be allowed to cause you a distraction. What matters is being ready...and watchful for the next move of God in your life.
