...write the vision and make it plain (Habakkuk 2:2)
As the year draws to a close, we must begin to make plans and set goals for the upcoming year and beyond. It is very imperative that you prayerfully consider and write down the goals you are setting for your life. If you "write the vision and make it plain", then it becomes very easy to know when you are on track and when you are derailing. Some of us fail to set goals for our lives because of several reasons: 1. We haven't been taught the blessings of such an action. 2. We simply don't know how to. 3. We are afraid of failing. 4. We feel intimidated by our previous failures and we don't want to go through "that' again.
What do you want your life to be like in two years... five years...ten years? In Habakkuk 2:2 God told the prophet to "write the vision and make it plain." Write your goals down and take it to God in prayer asking for His direction. In Proverbs 16:9 (TLB), we are encouraged to "make plans...counting on God to direct us." Once you get God's approval, then ask yourself what you have to do and what changes need to be made so you can achieve those goals. Then get to work! If you don't develop this kind of mindset, life will happen to you!
Between you and your goals there will be roadblocks, enemy attacks and temptations designed to derail you. Don't let this happen. Stay focused. Be on the lookout for those God will send your way to help you. Be humble and maintain a teachable spirit. Draw on the wisdom of experienced people. When things get tough, simply take one day at a time, remembering that a big success is simply several little successes strung together!
Get excited about what's in store for you! God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Find out what that is, plan on how to bring to pass and WORK IT!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
Stay above...always.
