...the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all (Galatians 4:1)
Growth is an essential part of life. In the physical realm we grow and mature as we age. The same is expected of us spiritually also. Spiritual changes and growth occur in our lives as we grow in the knowledge of God. "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18). As we behold Him we are changed! The more you learn, the more you are changed, and when you make learning a continuous exercise, your changes will also be continuous.
The essence of growth is to reach maturity. Maturity qualifies us for the greater things that God has in store for us. God will commit into your hand only what you have the capacity for. We are all desirous of great things but we must grow for great things to happen. Galatians 4:1-2 says, "...The heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all..." That means, as long as he is a child, he will be treated as a servant, and even worse than a servant."...But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father."
If you want to take delivery of your inheritance, you better grow up because as long as you remain a child, you remain in bondage. What qualifies you for your inheritance is spiritual maturity, and spiritual maturity comes via growth. It is not you, who is waiting for God to bless you, it is rather God who is waiting for you to mature for your blessing.
Stay above...always.
