WISDOM NUGGETS TO LIVE BY
I was reviewing some sermon notes I took about twenty years ago and would love to share these wonderful principles my former pastor preached on. I gained a new perspective as I read them this past week.
- Don't worry when you're doing your best. God accepts no less, but He demands no more. Trust in the Lord and do good and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:3-4)
- Don't hurry when success depends on accuracy. Good planning and hard work leads to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5)
- Just like you, everybody you meet has unmet needs, unhealed wounds and unfulfilled hopes; so stop making it about you and reach out to others to help them. Do to others as you would like them to do to you (Luke 6:31 NLT)
- Don't believe a thing is impossible without trying it. When you are in God's will your problems are a platform for Him to work on your behalf (See Romans 8:28)
- Don't waste your time and energy on trivial matters...it's the devils ploy to distract you from destiny.
- Good intentions must be followed by action. Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:17)
- If it's to be, it's up to me...God's already done His part.
Stay above...always.
