"...Let us go over to the other side" Mark 4:35
Getting out of a rut isn't always easy. You are well aware that you should be living your life with a sense of purpose, direction and fulfillment. You know you were created for "something". You want your life to have meaning. You want to serve others and do "great" things for God, yet you find yourself doing the same things day in and day out. You hate everything about your life but seem powerless to make changes. Seem familiar? You are stuck in a rut! Mark 4 is an account of how Jesus told his disciples to go to the 'other side'. The 'other side' for them was a 'next step' experience, moving them from where they had been all day to the place where they needed to be. Regardless of where the "other side' is for you, it will always involve a change and a challenge. We've all heard the saying, "it is madness to keep doing the same things and expect different results." Change is uncomfortable but the call of Jesus will always bring challenge and change with it. Do something new. Change something. That change often involves changing yourself first. That's very hard but it is possible. If you are stuck in a rut, ask God to help you break out and be free. Don't rearrange the present structures. There is something new on the horizon. Don't stay with old patterns. Make a move toward the achievement of your purpose. Don't think it cannot be done. Remember "with God all things are possible'. You can get out of the rut!
Stay above...always.
Yours & His,
