"So Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother, and came to the vineyards of Timnah. Now to his surprise, a young lion came roaring against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart..." (Judges 14:5-6).
Samson was going on a journey when a lion roared at him. Rather then turn back, he killed the lion and continued his journey. At every instance of your journey in life, satan will attempt to scare you and make you turn back from getting to your goal. He will come roaring like a lion, wanting to intimidate you, but the Bible says in Proverbs 22:13, "The lazy says, "There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets." That is what keeps some people rooted to one spot in life - intimidation; the fear of the unknown.
You don't need money or influence to be successful...what you need is COURAGE! The spirit of courage is the spirit that dares what others don't move close to, it is the spirit of possibility, the spirit that makes things work irrespective of who or what is standing on the way. It is the spirit that despises the helps of men in order to ride on the wings of God's help.
Start confronting your oppositions, move towards your fear and you will discover that what you fear can become meat for you. Step out and face that lion that is roaring at you! For your information, the help of God is available only for those who take steps. It is only when you step out that you will discover you have what it takes to kill the lion that has been scaring and intimidating you.
