The inward man is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)
Be grateful for the outer you. Make peace with it. Rejoice in its strengths. Accept its limitations. Let it work hard, but don't forget the inner you... your character, spirit and soul. The outer you is temporary and even though you exercise it, starve it, Botox it, tuck it, tan it or dress it up, yet the truth about the human body is "all are from dust, and all return to dust" (Ecclesiastes 3:20). It's what is inside of you that really matters. There is a you IN YOU that no one can touch and this is what you must pay attention to. Here are a few measures to help you get started:
-
Regular self examinations and confessions
-
Have friends who love you enough to speak the truth to you
-
Daily time to be alone and listen to God
-
Renew your mind with scriptures
-
Give attention to your thought life
-
Speak positive words to your self and others.
It's time to get serious and work on the inner you.
Stay above...always.
