..He who began a good work in you will complete it... (Philippians 1:6)
We see it all around us...either parents hurrying their children to grow up or the children are in such a hurry to grow up and assume the responsibilities of adulthood. You cannot however skip the stages of childhood and produce healthy adults.
The same is true of spiritual growth. Spiritual birth, childhood and adolescence are all necessary stages to our becoming mature in the faith. Let me make this clear: you can grow spiritually as fast as you want to, but make sure you allow God to make you "complete" in each stage before you move to a new level. The first tree to fall in a storm is the one with shallow roots.
So don't get in a hurry. Don't covet what others have. Don't try to wear a suit that is too big for you...you will look foolish. God will give you the blessing and responsibility you can handle. More will be given only after you have completed the current growth stage. So enjoy where you are and work at it...after His work is completed at that stage, then and only then are you ready for the next level.
Stay above...always.
