Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10) NKJV)

If the devil can't drive you into carnality, he will be just as happy to keep you overloaded and busy with "stuff". We must be careful to find a time of "stillness" in our busy world with all the sensory overload of television, radio, telephone, e-mail, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. It is in your stillness before God that you can know that He is God. This simply means that in the stillness and quiet of your flesh and soul, you can think and be reminded that He is with you. You can meditate on His promises to you. You can remember His faithfulness in the past and you can lay your present concerns at His feet. A time of "stillness" is not wasted time. Three things God has taught me lately in this area of "stillness": 1) Stillness energizes you to do a lot more with a lot less, 2) Stillness allows you a time of reflection and refocus...on those things that are of eternal value versus fleshly and unprofitable stuff, and 3) Stillness allows you to manage your time more effectively. So what about taking a break...frequent breaks...from it all...just to be still before God. Meditate on this: I've kept my feet on the ground, I've cultivated a quiet heart. Like a baby content in its mother's arms, my soul is a baby content. (Psalm 131:2) The Message
Stay above...always.
