"...forgetting the past and looking forward..."
(Philippians 3:13 The Living Bible)

My children noticed it first...a bird's nest lying on our driveway. Alas! It was the bird's nest from the tree in our yard. We had always admired this nest and had hoped to see some baby birds in it someday. It had been partially destroyed by the fierce storm the previous night. We all admired the intricate design and as the children left for school, I promised them that I would try to put the nest back in the tree...somehow. A little while later, I went to the tree to figure how I was going to fulfill my promise to my children. I heard some bird singing among the branches. I looked up and there was a most wonderful sight to behold----the little bird was happily building another nest! You can't go back. You can't undo the past. You can't rewrite the past. You can't be a prisoner of your past. All of us have things we wish we had done differently. Your experiences have made you the person you are today. The storm is over. A new day is here and you are still alive! You can begin again. You can start putting those pieces together. You can build a new "nest" for yourself. Stay above... always.
