"...for God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed'' (Genesis 4:25)
What "Abel" has been killed in your life? It can be as tragic as a loved one dying an untimely death. Maybe it is the death of a marriage that you thought would last a lifetime. Maybe it is the loss of a job. Even still, it could be that you have faced countless disappointments, trials and troubles.
God's word to you today is that although Abel is dead and gone, God has appointed another seed for you. Another seed is on the way! Are you looking with expectancy for that new thing God is about to do for you...or are you so discouraged and focused on what you've lost that you miss the new opportunities God has appointed for you?
We must know that Satan never wins over God's children! God always has the last laugh. However, we must refuse to be destroyed by what we face or encounter in our life. It is never over. God always has another "seed" up His sleeve!
