"Happy is the man who does not give in... when tempted...." (James 1:12)
We all have been tempted at one time or another. Because Satan targets his temptations to our weakest areas, certain situations will make you more vulnerable to temptation than others. Those circumstances will cause you to stumble almost immediately, while others do not bother you much at all. So to overcome temptations, you must identify these areas quickly because Satan surely knows them. He knows what trips you up and he is constantly working to get you into those situations. That is why Peter warns us to be on the alert and not to give the devil an opportunity because "he is like a roaring lion seeking who to devour" (1 Peter 5:8). So detect your vulnerable areas, expect the temptations to come and develop ways to reject and not fall into them. That way you will not be devoured by the devil.
