There is a set time for everything that concerns you. And God determines the beat. God has a plan, and a '...set...time'.  He rarely moves suddenly. And the reason He doesn't move as quickly as we would like is because it takes Him that long to get us ready for our new position. God usually has to prepare you for the changes He has in mind.
 
First, He will start by loosening your grip on something that has a potential of taking over His place in your heart and life. Maybe it is a career, a relationship or your finances...then comes a period of 'open heart surgery'. The surgery is 'open' because God wants you to see what is in your heart. These things take time...longer for some than others.
 
So as you wait, consider the following things:
 
a)  The waiting period is supposed to heal your past so it cannot pollute your future.
 
b)  The waiting period expands your knowledge so you are better prepared.
 
c)  The waiting period develops your character.
 
Are you waiting for something from the Lord? Take a look at two places. First, your hands: Make sure you are not holding on too tight to something or someone other than God. Second, your eyes: Are your eyes open to you? Denying what God wants to show you only prolongs the wait time.
